THE BEST IDEAS DON’T ALWAYS START FROM SCRATCH.

When we moved from our Gastown studio to our home-based creative space, we had a decision to make.

Recycle hundreds of beautifully crafted, award-winning business cards…

…or redesign them. And reuse them.

We chose the second option.

Each card was wrapped in a newly designed black shell, hand-glued, then pressed flat using antique irons until cured. The result is a business card that’s thicker, more tactile, more personal, and one that saved premium materials from going to waste.

It’s a small project that says a lot about how we think at Hangar 18.

Creative.
Resourceful.
Sustainable.

Because good design isn’t just about what you create.
